In a single move, Warner Brothers has killed the two studios that started my career.
A couple of days ago, it was announced that Monolith Productions was closing. In so doing, they have also shuttered the last vestiges of Surreal Software, which had been acquired from Midway, and later absorbed along with Snowblind Studios. (Weird coincidence: I went to high school with Brian Sostrom, a Snowblind founder.)
